Time Charging
Related to Sandia Day, September 11, 1999
Please observe the following guidelines
for time charges relating to work done in preparation for Sandia Day or for time worked during
the event on Saturday, September 11, 1999.
- Flex-time should be granted for time
worked by exempt employees and should be charged to the appropriate case as explained in
the paragraphs below.
- Non-exempt employees should be paid
for time worked with the following guidelines:
- Time worked on displays, etc. that
are related to an employee's usual work should be charged to that employee's usual case
number.
- Those employees who are normally scheduled
to work on Friday, September 10, and Saturday, September 11, 1999, such as security, maintenance,
medical, badging should charge this time to their normal case number. Only the incremental
cost of supporting this event, such as overtime or time for employees who are not normally
scheduled to work on September 10 or 11, 1999, should be charged to the Sandia Day case number.
- Time worked by employees who have
volunteered and who have been scheduled to work to support the event in the corporate arena,
such as time for escorting, serving refreshments, greeting, should be charged to the Sandia
Day case number.
The Sandia Day case number to be charged
by California employees is 1187.530.
Charges to case 1187.530 will be reviewed
thoroughly after the event. The appropriateness and reasonableness of all costs will be reviewed,
and required adjustments will be made.
Case A-269 should not be used. This case is
intended to be used for charitable volunteer activities to benefit the community and not to support
such events as Sandia Day.
