Maintenance Management System

NOTE: To return to the Main Menu from any Data Selection Screen, Click on ISMT in the headder banner at the top right of the page.

Select Maintenance Management System from the Main Menu.

Click the Go button.

The following kind of report can be generated from the MMS Database:


Facility Type | Location Lookup | Top Airports List | Outage Causes | Date Range | Reports

Set the Report Parameters 

  1. Begin by Selecting the facilities that are the subject of the reports you wish to generate.

    1. Select the Facility Type (the default is All) from the drop down list.

    2. Select the Entry Type (the default is All) from the drop down list.  

  2. You can further refine the report by Selecting a Site.

      1. When you Select Site you can further refine the report by Selecting Location ID


      2. Select the Region first. The pop up window menus for the Location ID will then only list values appropriate to the selected Region.

      3. The default value for each is ALL. To Select the value for each parameter Click the 3-dots Button by the blank widow for each.
        1. A pop up window menu will open.
        2. Click on the desired value to Select it.
        3. Click the OK button to Enter it. 

    2. The Location Lookup link pops up a window from which you can search for the Location ID and its Region by typing in the name of the city or city and the state if you don't know or remember it.

      1. The search will run if you only enter a City Name. The result will list all cities with the specified name in grouped by state.

      2. The search will also run if you enter: City Name, State. Use the 2 letter abbreviation for the state and make sure to leave a space between the comma and the state. Example: Ontario, CA

      3. The search response will produce a table showing
        1. Region
        2. Location ID
        3. Name of City and State

      4. Use this information to select the appropriate values from the corresponding pop up window menus.

    1. Selecting the Top Airports List is an alternative to selecting a Site.

      1. Check the Box next to Top Airports to activate the customized list of airports.

        1. Click the 3-dots Button to open a pop up window and view the current list.

        2. Airports can be Deleted or Added to the list using the form in the pop up window.

      2. Using the Top Airports List is an exclusive parameter. The other site values will not be functional. 

  1. Outage Causes Parameters have 4 options:

    1. All - Check the Button to Select

    2. Scheduled - Check the Button to Select

    3. Unscheduled - Check the Button to Select

    4. Select Specific Causes from Pop Up

      1. Click the 3-dots Button to open a pop up window and view the Outage Cause list.

      2. Select the specific outage cause(s) from the list and Click the OK button to enter.

      3. Hold down the Cntrl Key to Select multiple outage causes from the list

  2. Date Range Parameters are Start Date to End Date. The dates cannot be left blank. The ISMT application will run a validation on the dates that you type in and warn you if the dates do not meet accepted parameters.

    1. The default dates cover the entire range data of the database.

    2. Type in the blanks to change the Date Range.

      1. The Start Date must be earlier than the End Date.

      2. The End Date must be before the current date.  

Generate a Report
  1. To Select a Report to generate Click the button next to the Report name. 

    1. Outage Reports can be Summarized by or grouped by selecting options from 2 pop down lists.

      1. The first pop down list defaults to None with no options available in the second pop down list. The generated report wit this setting will display a 9 column list:
        1. FMLogID
        2. Fac Type
        3. Region
        4. Ident
        5. Entry Type
        6. Code
        7. RSI Start Date Time
        8. RSI End Date Time
        9. Comments

      2. The first Summarized by drop down list has the following options:
        1. Facility
        2. Entry Type
        3. Cause
        4. Year

      3. The second Summarized by drop down list varies depending on the option selected in the first drop down list.

        1. None = None
        2. Facility = None, Entry Type, Cause or Year
        3. Entry Type = None, Facility, Cause or Year
        4. Cause = Facility, Entry Type, or Year
        5. Year = None, Facility, Entry Type or Cause

      4. When you have only a first option selected and None for the second option the Report Screen will show:


        1. 2 pie charts. The first chart depicts the Number of Outages. The second chart depicts the Outage Time. The pie charts show data for the whole 12 months of the specified 12 month period.

        2. a table below the pie charts showing all the data depicted in the pie charts.

          NOTE:
          If you have selected a Facility Type (for example: ARTS) and you choose Facility from the first options drop down list, there will be no segments in generated pie chart and no interactive drill down links.

      5. When you have selected a first option and a second option from the second drop down list the generated Report Screen will show:

        1. 2 pie charts. The first chart depicts the Number of Outages. The second chart depicts the Sum of Outage Time.

        2. The segments of the pie charts are interactive. When you click on one of the segments a new report will be generated with pie charts reflecting the details of the selected segment.

        3. The table below the pie charts shows all the data depicted in the pie charts and also contains interactive links.

        4. The table under the detail pie chart will also have an interactive link at the bottom of its list but it is a redundant link and will simply regenerate the same report.

    2. Click the Show Report button to generate the report. It is likely that generating the report will seem to take a long time. You will be able to see the browser logo animation running in the up right corner of you browser frame as an indication that the application is busy generating the report. There is a lot of data to process and a lot of processing that is run. Patience is needed.

    3. Click the Export button to export the report data to Excel.

    4. User the browser Print button to Print a Report from a Report Screen.

    5. Remember to type a Title into the Title Box in the top area of the screen if you are going to Save the report for later retrieval.
