DoE Reference
  • DOE/ID-10600, "DOE Electrical Safety Guidelines"
    • {The DOE ELECTRICAL SAFETY GUIDELINES document (DOE/ID-10600) integrates OSHA and NFPA requirements that are DOE site and program specific. The requirements are also tied to existing DOE standards and orders.} {U.S. Department of Energy, Electrical Safety Guidelines, DOE/ID-10600 (May 1993).}

  Buckles-Smith Electric Company [BOOKS]

Hubbell, Bryant and Leviton

  • HUBBELL, BRYANT and LEVITON make replacement electrical plugs for power cords. They also make complete lines of electrical outlets and receptacles. Some of these may be made for special conditions such as for use in chemistry labs, others are made of high-impact plastic or water resistant fittings. (See NEMA charts for voltage and current ratings).
  • Web-sites:

Waber

  • Waber is a good source for industrial mountable designs. These may be mounted on instrument racks and have conduit and wiring connected by your electrician. They may also be pre-wired units with up to 19 outlets with extra long 15 foot power cords.
  • Web-site:

Ericson

  • Ericson is a good source for ground continuity monitors built-in and clearly labeled on some of their power cords and temporary power taps. Use these when you must be absolutely sure of ground wire continuity. This is especially important for construction or maintenance workers who change job sites often and work in unfamiliar surroundings with a variety of uncontrolled conditions. In this situation you would also consider portable GFCI equipped temporary power taps.
